Ever since I stepped into the craze of Tik-Tok Beauty, pore clogging ingredients have become such a hot topic, I can’t ignore it anymore. I used to believe that big skincare brands wouldn’t use pore clogging ingredients, but that’s simply not true. We just need to put our minds together and figure out which skincare products are clean and fresh for our acne-prone skins.
Looking at each ingredient list takes a lot of time, and surprisingly there were many sunscreens by big brand names that had pore clogging ingredients. Apparently if these ingredients are in small doses, it shouldn’t affect our skin too much, but we can’t be too sure because we might use another product that has the same pore clogging ingredient, and two plus two in this case is not a great result at all.
Knowing this, here’s a list of Korean Sunscreens for both you and me (who don’t like to look up ingredients all the time) that have been Tik-Tok approved and comedogenic free ingredients.

ROUND LAB – Birch Juice Moisturizing Sunscreen
The Round Lab Birch Juice Moisturizing Sunscreen is unique because it’s enriched with birch juice which is touted in Korea for its ability to reduce inflammation, purify and hydrate the skin. It a load of 17 amino acids, minerals, enzymes, proteins and antioxidants so even whilst you wear sunscreen you can get its anti-aging properties at the same time.
Isntree – Hyaluronic Acid Watery Sun Gel
This is a lightweight and water based sun gel that is perfect for people who hate the feeling of tacky sunscreen. Not only that, it uses hyaluronic acid to keep your skin moisture levels up and improve skin elasticity at the same time. Not to mention, it’s an organic sunscreen so it is especially suitable for those with sensitive skin.
Abib – Quick Sunstick Protection Bar
Sunsticks have been all the rage recently because you can easily apply them over your makeup with causing too much havoc. The Abib quick sunstick is a chemical sunscreen which leaves a clear coat for a natural finish without a white cast. It contains ingredients like acacia peptide and ceramide which helps to fortify your skin barrier which is so important to prevent things like irritation and acne breakouts. It also soothes your skin, we all know we need that when we’re in the sun, because it has aloe and cucumber extracts infused into it.
COSRX – Aloe Soothing Sun Cream
COSRX is a brand that is known to fight acne and pimples so it makes total sense that they made a sunscreen that doesn’t have any pore clogging ingredients in it. This is both a chemical and physical hybrid sunscreen so it offers strong sun protection of SPF50+, and yet does not have a greasy or white cast finish. Many reviews often talk about how people with darker skin colors love this one in particular because it goes on seamlessly on the skin.
How I Picked These Sunscreens
First of all, there are many sunscreens to choose from so I checked all their ingredients and if they had a single pore clogging ingredient I did not add the sunscreen to this list. Unfortunately, although some ingredients are safe in low amounts, I did not want to risk the possibility of comedogenic ingredients at all, because I don’t know what else you’re using in your skincare and makeup routines.
Plus, some sunscreens have a lot of oils in them and even if they’re not technically “pore clogging” having too many combination of oils might negatively affect your skin as well, so this list is what I have come up with so far. If I find more sunscreens I’ll add to it in the future, but for now, here are the 4 best Korean sunscreens to try!
