Let’s review the Numbuzin No.1: Easy Peasy Oil Cleanser. As an Oil Cleanser connoisseur I would say I’m well versed in what an oil cleanser should be, a gentle and fuss free way of getting rid of makeup, especially waterproof eye makeup.

  • Has a good cleansing effect with pores

The Numbuzin Brand

What’s your number? You’ll see this often on Numbuzin products because they literally named their products on numbers rather than hard-to-remember names. Every single number represents a specific skin concern they were targeting and they’ve become quite the Korean beauty brand that is loved by skincare enthusiasts around the world.

Claims

Here is what I gathered that numbuzin claims that their cleansing oil product does:

The effectiveness of numbuzin cleansing oil proven by clinical trial, after 2 weeks of use:

  • 98.44% cleansing fine dust
  • 94.39% cleansing waste in pores
  • 95.24% product satisfaction
  • 95.24% satisfaction in skin improvement
  • eye irritation tested
  • hypoallergenic tested

Numbuzin seems to highly focus on how much their cleansing oil clears clogged pores which I do believe, cleansing oils are amazing at this because of their lipophilic (oil loving) properties so I find they clean sebaceous filaments much better than water based cleansers.

Ingredients

Ingredient list

Zea Mays (Corn) Oil, Isopropyl Myristate, Sorbeth-30 Tetraoleate, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Diisostearyl Malate, Sorbitan Sesquioleate, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Cyperus Esculentus Root Oil, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Purified Water, Tocopheryl Acetate, Fragrance

  • Zea Mays Corn Oil: helps to keep the epidermis hydrated because it is rich in essential fatty acids, and is ideal for those with dry skin.
  • Isopropyl Myristate: Is an emollient that makes the skin feel smooth and nice. It’s the perfect combination with oil to reduce the heavy, greasy feeling.
  • Sorbeth-30 Tetraoleate: is a water-loving substance that works as a self-emulsifying surfactant. Helps in rinsability for oil cleansers.
  • Ethylhexyl Palmitate: an emollient that gives a feeling of richness to products. It’s considered a pore-clogging ingredient but since you’re washing the cleansing oil right away, it is not an issue.
  • Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride: It’s considered an excellent emollient and skin-replenishing ingredient to help resist moisture loss in the skin.
  • Diisotearyl Malate: Emollient that penetrates the skin easily with medium viscosity.
  • Sorbitan Sesquioleate: Surfactant that helps water and oil to mix nicely, thus it’s an emulsifier that helps with rinsing.
  • Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil: high oleic acid oil that makes it very emollient and ideal for dry skin types.
  • Cyprus Esculentus Root Oil: rich in vitamin e, it’s a powerful antioxidant that prevents proliferation of free radicals in skin tissues.
  • Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil: also rich in vitamin e, it acts as an emollient to trap moisture, keep the skin well hydrated and soothes the skin.
  • Purified Water: filtered water that has impurities like chemicals and other contaminants removed.
  • Tocopherol Acetate: helps to promote regeneration of healthy cells and has superior antioxidant effects.
  • Fragrance

Who Is The Numbuzin No.1 Easy Peasy Oil Cleanser For?

Technically oil cleansers can be used by anyone, it’s for any skin-type, but I think the Numbuzin No.1 Oil Cleanser is specifically great for dry skin types. They have many emollients that will keep the moisture within your skin even after cleansing, plus many of their oils have vitamin E which will protect you from free radical damage.

My Experience

First of all, I loved the packaging, it’s simple and unique and lets you know the company made the product thinking of you!

The Numbuzin no. 1 has a little twist top cap that lets you stop oil from coming out, so it’s definitely travel friendly! I loved that they thought of that because who wants oil seeping into your clothes on a trip?

The scent of the easy peasy oil cleanser. It was a very light fragrance, not overwhelming at all and pleasant to smell. Although this means that people with sensitive skin should stay away.

Texture wise the Numbuzin cleanser felt very light and not heavy on the skin which I appreciated because I have very oily skin and it feels strange to put a heavy skincare product on it.

It removed waterproof makeup so quickly. Which I have to say it nailed. Within 2 minutes I felt like all my eye makeup was dissolved and ready to be washed off, which is amazing because I used to spend so much time using eye makeup remover.

There is one gripe that I had with the cleanser. While washing my eyes, I’d say a little bit of oil got into my eyes and it stung! Yes, it did make my eye hurt. Although the numbuzin no.1 cleanser says that it passed an eye irritation test, I wonder if they meant that chemically or in a literal sense. Because my eyes actually didn’t get red, but it did hurt for a little bit. I was wondering if this was a one off, but it happened again when I tried it a few other times so that was a bit disappointing. (Keep in mind I have other oil cleansers that don’t sting my eyes.)
